Election Day Astrology - A Murky Picture

The US election of 2020 is one of the most important in history. A clear vision of what is to come would be welcomed by many. But with Mercury asking for honest communication I can only say that the picture is murky.

Sometimes astrologers look at a chart hoping for answers --- especially answers that they want to find.  That is a dangerous business. The planets can guide, they can explain the past, they can hint at possibilities -- but there are many many interpretations; the planets do not define.

Let us look at the energies surrounding this time.

Jupiter and Saturn are hanging out with Pluto waiting for that big "transformative" moment in December (more on that as time get's closer). They aren't ready for change yet; they are firmly in status quo mode and they are three very powerful planets standing shoulder to shoulder.    That puts them at odds with other faster moving planetary energies. Messages get misunderstood and of course we still have that swimming in quicksand energy of Mars seemingly moving backwards.

There are signs that we can be making progress but it doesn't look like an easy path. We will need to trust our feelings more than our intellects, read beneath the messages delivered. There are indications of a positive destiny -- if you are a believer in destiny.  But in order to get there we will -- as individuals, country and global village need to make some adjustments.

The US election will be covering a longer span of days in 2020 and it appears that it could be a record setting year for voter turnout.  As I type this on October 21 more than 40 million Americans have already cast their ballots in states that report such data. It is also a given that we will have to wait for the final voting tally.

In my comments above, I used the traditional Nov 3rd election date for the chart.
